Easter Weekend

Easter weekend was spent in Logan with my family this year, and we kicked off the festivities with a visit to the historical farm, where baby animals were everywhere.

The cuteness was killing me.  Still is.  I mean really, my favorite baby humans holding fuzzy baby animals?

So ... prepare yourselves for a picture overload.

Belle was all about feeding baby goats.  Not so sure about holding them.

Jamie:  "Allie, you are always the one taking the pictures.  You need to be in more."
Baby bump looks like a spare tire at this point in pregnancy, which makes pictures more awkward.  Still ... there's a glimpse of baby #3, which is sort of holding a baby goat, actually.

Mac found his one true animal love.

Ducklings.

We came back to this duckling at least four times, and he was so sad to leave it at the end.

Belen on the other hand, did not have as much interest in the tiny fuzzy animals.  She wanted something a little more substantial.

Like a pony.

She marched right onto those horses, and did not want to get off.  "Silly horsie", she would say.  "Wook, Mom!  Horsie sneezin!  Bless you, horsie."

Mac got on, but it felt more like he did not want to be outdone by his sister than he actually wanted to ride the pony. (Which is basically the story of my childhood.)

We ended with kettle corn, which put Belle right over the edge into blissful sleep.

Our day ended with a couple of family Easter Egg hunts, followed by an incredible Easter Sunday.

There is nothing like spending this holiday with family to make the reality of the Resurrection hit home.  I am beyond grateful.

And I will end with my favorite video of Christ's Resurrection ... gets me every time.
