Sister Weekend

My lovely aunties Ceely and Lori came out again for the L.A. hair show, and Jamie came too!  It became known as the Sister Weekend, and it was fantastic.

Jamie arrived a day early and got some good snuggling with Mac.
The next day we picked up Ceely and Lori from the airport and lazed around the beach for the rest of the day ... while eating donuts and diet coke, of course.

Mac was sure to keep things interesting with his sand-flinging.

And we all took turns chasing Mac out of the water.  That child has no fear.  He loves to feel the waves coming in.

The next day we man-handled the swap meet, buying jeans gallore and munching on giant churros.  Swap meet churros put all others to shame.

We then came home, left Mac with Mark, and bravely took on the ghetto of L.A., also known as "The District".  It was my first time, and it is definitely going to become a stop for my visitors looking for some spiffy clothes at a good deal.

And while in L.A., I had to take them to Diddy Riese.  For $1.50, you get to create your own ice cream sandwich.  They make it right in front of your eyes!  Divine.
Our evenings were full of movies, peanut M&M's, and adjustments.

Jame taught Mac about butterfly kisses.  He is addicted.
We did a lot of driving.
And a lot of eating.  Giant corndogs from Disneyland were our last adventure, and though they made every one of us sick, they tasted fabulous.
An exhausting, exciting weekend.  Hopefully we can continue the tradition!

  1. Maybe it's because I'm starving, but all that food seriously sounds divine. And the warm weather makes me want to kill you. Just sayin'...how'd I get stuck in Wisconsin?
